About Paul

Paul D'Alessandro is the founder and CEO of High Impact Nonprofit Advisors. In 1994, he founded D'Alessandro, Inc., which he rebranded in 2019. Having spent decades as a fundraiser, Paul understood that today's environment required innovation and new thinking. So, High Impact Nonprofit Advisors was born.

Paul has advised hundreds of clients on nonprofit management and capital campaigns. As a result, he's worked on fundraising goals ranging from $1 million to multi-billions. Because Paul believes in "hands-on" counsel, he has made more than 4,000 personal solicitation calls. Consequently, the gifts have ranged from $1,000 to $100 million.

Paul began his fundraising career as a Regional Director of Development for the University of Notre Dame. Also, he received his BBA from the University of Notre Dame. In addition, he has a Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law. He is a licensed attorney in Florida, New York, and New Jersey, a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and a member of the Nonprofit Pro Advisory Board. He is also a member of the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. His awards include the Consulting Excellence Award from the New Jersey Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Paul is also a contributor to Nonprofit PRO, writing about legal matters affecting the nonprofit sector.
